3. Purchases and Payment
Any user who places an order through this website shall be deemed to have committed to that purchase, and must provide full payment for the goods in question. This commitment shall be acknowledged by an order confirmation email from the company. No order will be dispatched until payment has been made in full. Payment will be made through the company’s chosen payment service and the transaction will be listed as 'Kitchen Economy' on the customer’s bank statement.
If we discover an error or a problem with the goods you have purchased (including, but not limited to, inaccurate pricing and insufficient stock), we will endeavour to inform you of the issue as soon as possible via email. We reserve the right to cancel any order and refund the cost in full.
Customer details will be encrypted for the duration of the purchasing process. This helps to protect these sensitive details and ensure a secure buying process. Your debit/credit card provider may enforce additional security checks to further protect your details. All purchases made through the website are non-transferable. If your debit/credit card is declined while attempting to make a payment, contact your bank or debit/credit card provider.
By making a purchase through this website, you agree that said purchase shall be strictly for your own private use.
4. Delivery
The company offers delivery to selected locations within South Wales only. While the Delivery page offers some guidance, we reserve the right to refuse delivery to any address for any reason, including (but not limited to) distance and difficulty of access. Please note that we will not necessarily deliver to your address, even if your postcode is shown as an acceptable delivery address on our website.
All orders may be subject to delivery charges, the exact sum of which shall vary by region. We will notify you of the relevant delivery cost via our website before your purchase is confirmed. No goods shall be dispatched until all delivery charges have been paid in full. For further details and a list of prices, please refer to the Kitchen Economy Delivery page.
We reserve the right to use a third party courier for all deliveries; as such, any delivery may be subject to the courier’s own terms and conditions (as well as to the terms laid out on this page). Kitchen Economy shall not be held responsible for any delays or failings on the part of a third-party courier. Deliveries will often require a signature from the recipient, so please ensure that someone will be available to provide a signature at your specified delivery address.
5. Returns
A customer has 14 calendar days in which to return an appliance to Kitchen Economy this 14 day period commences on the day that the appliance was delivered. An appliance cannot be returned after 14 days under any circumstance. In order for an appliance to be returned, customers must contact Kitchen Economy via the organisation’s website or via email or telephone, and let them know that they wish for their appliance to be returned.
Providing the appliance has not been installed or used, and is in in the original condition that it was delivered, Kitchen Economy will issue the customer with an authorisation number. If the appliance is damaged or not returned in its original state, Kitchen Economy will charge the customer to repair the appliance back to its original condition. Once an authorisation number has been issued, the customer must return the appliance to the following address: 67-69 Broadway, Roath, Cardiff, CF24 1QE (Kitchen Economy offer a collection service for £20).
On receipt of the returned appliance, Kitchen Economy will reimburse a customer with the full price of the appliance within 14 calendar days. Unless the company is found to be at fault, delivery charges are non-refundable as these are separate handling charges.
6. Cancellations
Once a customer orders an appliance, their purchase can be cancelled at any time before the order is dispatched. Cancellations can be made via the Kitchen Economy website, or by contacting the organisation via email or telephone. If a cancellation is successful, the customer will receive a full refund within 14 calendar days. The cancellation policy only applies to goods ordered from stock; special orders cannot be cancelled under any circumstance. If a customer wishes to cancel an order that has already been dispatched, they should refer to section 5, ‘Returns’.
7. Faulty Goods
If a customer receives an appliance that is faulty, they must contact Kitchen Economy within 14 calendar days of delivery. In the first instance, Kitchen Economy will attempt to resolve the fault. If the fault cannot be resolved, Kitchen Economy will replace the appliance with a like-for-like replacement. If a like-for-like replacement cannot be identified, a full refund will be issued to the customer. The customer is not accountable for collection or delivery services at this stage.
If the fault cannot be resolved and a like-for-like replacement is/isn’t identified, and a full refund is due to be issued, Kitchen Economy will issue the customer with an authorisation number and the appliance can be returned to the following address: 67-69 Broadway, Roath, Cardiff, CF24 1QE. It is worth noting that if any accessories are missing from the appliance that is being returned, the cost of these will be deducted from any refund made or a charge made.
If the appliance is greater than 30 calendar days old, the customer must contact the Manufacturer of the appliance and request that an engineer attend to fix and/or replace it under the Manufacturer’s Warrantee. If a customer has any difficulty in contacting the Manufacturer, they are advised to contact Kitchen Economy via their website, email or telephone for advice. If an appliance is outside of the Manufacturer’s Warrantee, they shall source an engineer to fix their appliance at their own expense. If a customer has difficulty in sourcing an engineer, they are advised to contact Kitchen Economy for advice.
