Things to Remember
Please bear the following in mind when you select our cooker installation service:

Keep the ‘hot zone’ clear

The area directly above your cooker/hob (within 75cm of the top of the appliance) is known as the ‘hot zone’. This area MUST be kept clear of items that might catch fire, such as wood, wallpaper, or wiring

Be sure to clear your ‘hot zone’ before our installers arrive, as we might not be able to complete the job otherwise.

Ensure adequate ventilation

If you want us to install any gas appliances in your home, you will first need to make sure that the room is adequately ventilated.

Gas safety regulations dictate that your kitchen MUST have a door or window that leads directly outside if a gas cooker is to be installed there. If your kitchen doesn’t fulfil this requirement, please purchase an electric cooker instead.

Check electricity rating

We can only install electrical appliances if there is a like-for-like electrical supply available. Before purchasing your new cooker, please check the power supply in your kitchen and ensure that it matches the amp rating listed in your new appliance’s specifications.

Check gas supply

In order for us to install a gas cooker in your kitchen, we will need access to an existing gas supply that is within 1.5 metres of a 3-pin electrical socket.

If the distance from the gas supply to the plug socket is 1.5m or less, our Gas Safe installer can fit additional pipework to bridge the gap. However, the length of the new pipework cannot exceed 1.5m (that’s approximately 4.9ft).

Gas Safe

Our installers are Gas Safe registered

According to the law, anyone who installs gas-fuelled appliances such as gas cookers must be registered with the Gas Safe Register (formerly known as CORGI).

Our cooker installation experts are all Gas Safe registered, so you can rest assured that we will install your new appliance safely and in accordance with all legal requirements.

You will receive a gas safety certificate once your new appliance is in place.
